This site is not affiliated with Amazon; this is an independent explanation.
Amazon app not working can look like a white page, a loop that returns to the home screen, items that will not load, or a checkout that refuses your card. Most of these come from the app on your phone or the connection, and only a few come from the service itself.
Shoppers also search for quick delivery, grocery and music problems, so this page covers those too. Try the early steps first, because they fix the larger share of cases in under ten minutes. If the app works but one payment option fails, jump to the payment section further down.

7Service issue on the Amazon side
How to tellMany shoppers report errors and the web version fails too
What fixes itWait, then retry after some time
How to fix it, step by step
Reopen the app after a full stop
Swipe the shopping app out of your recent list and launch it again. An app left minimised for days can hold a broken state, and a clean start clears it. Wait for the home page to finish drawing before you tap anything.
Update the app
Visit your phone's store page for the app and press Update if you see it. Old versions can stop working once the shop changes something on its servers.
Compare the app with the website
Open the shop in your phone browser. If the website works and the app does not, the problem sits inside the app, so continue with the cache and reinstall steps. If both fail, the connection or the service is the cause.
Test a different connection
Move from home Wi-Fi to mobile data for a minute, or the other way. Some routers drop big image pages. If your data is the weak link, see WiFi not working for router checks.
Clear the cache on Android
Open the app's page under your phone settings, choose storage and select Clear cache. This removes saved pictures and pages but keeps your account. On an iPhone, offloading or reinstalling the app does the same job.
Sign out and sign in again
Use the account menu to sign out, then sign in with your mobile number or email. Check that your delivery pin code is correct, because wrong addresses hide many products and delivery slots.
Check date, time and storage
A wrong phone date and time can break secure connections. Set them to automatic. Also keep at least a gigabyte of free space so the app can save pages.
Reinstall as the last step
Uninstall it, switch the phone off and on, then fetch it again from the official store only. Never use an APK from a message or a website, since fake copies steal logins and card details.
Amazon Now, Fresh and Music problems
Quick delivery and fresh grocery work only from certain local hubs, during set hours, for chosen pin codes. When Amazon Now is not working or Fresh shows no slots, first confirm your address is inside the covered area and the time is within working hours. Items also vanish when the nearby hub runs out of stock, which is normal and not a fault.
For the music service, check that you are logged in with the right account, that your plan covers the song, and that the download storage is not full. Streaming stops at times if two devices play on one account.
EMI card and payment option not working at checkout
When a card or EMI choice fails only at the payment step, the shop is usually not the cause. Common reasons are an unused or expired limit, a card that is not yet activated for online use, an eligibility check that did not pass, or a bank limit for online spends.
- Look at the available limit on the card issuer's own app.
- Try another payment method to prove the cart itself is fine.
- Confirm that online and EMI use are switched on for the card.
- Do not retry many times; each attempt can block the card for a while.
Treat this as general guidance only. A payment that was deducted but shows no order should be raised through the order help screen or your bank, and your OTP and PIN stay private always.
Amazon app not working for everyone or just you
A real service issue affects many users together: the website fails, searches return nothing, and orders will not place at the same moment. A problem on your side tends to show on one phone or one network. Look at the company's official help or social account for notices, and open the site on a second phone to compare.
You press Buy Now and an error banner appears, yet the same item orders fine from a laptop. The fault sits with the app copy on your phone, so wipe its cache and log in afresh.
When to contact support
If a fresh install on a second phone still fails, the account or order may have a flag. Open Help from the profile area, choose your order, and describe the exact message. For a phone that is itself slow or full, read phone not working, and for other shopping apps with similar trouble see apps and websites not working.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the Amazon app not working today in India?
The usual suspects are an old version, a weak network, a bloated cache or a brief service hiccup. Test the website and a second network to see which one it is.
Why is Amazon Now not working today in India at my address?
Quick delivery covers only some pin codes and time windows. Check your address and the hour, and try later if the nearby hub is out of the item.
Why does my EMI card fail at Amazon checkout?
Usually the limit, eligibility or online use setting on the card is the reason. Check with your card issuer, and try another payment method to confirm the cart works.
Why is Amazon Music not working?
Check your login, plan, internet and phone storage. Playing on more than one device with the same account can also pause the music.
Why is Amazon Fresh not working for me?
Fresh needs a covered pin code and an open delivery slot. Update the app, set the right address and look for slots at another time of day.
