About Tech Error Codes

A code on a screen is a message that nobody bothered to translate. A 503 on a booking site, E6 blinking on the AC, a keyboard that types nothing: each one has a meaning, and usually a fix you can try in a few minutes. Tech Error Codes exists to give you that meaning and that fix without the jargon.

What you will find here

  • A quick answer first: every guide opens with what the code or problem means and who has to fix it.
  • Causes you can tell apart: each cause comes with the sign that points to it, so you do not have to try everything.
  • Fixes in the right order: the quickest and safest step first, the bigger jobs last.
  • When to stop: we say clearly when a problem needs the service provider, the brand’s authorised service or a trained technician.

Who writes it

Every guide is written to the standard of an experienced support technician and reviewed by an editor before it goes live. Each one is checked against official documentation where it exists, and the steps are kept to what is safe for a regular user. You can read how pages are made on our How we write page.

What we are not

We are not a repair shop, an operator or a brand. We are not affiliated with any company named on this site, and we never ask for passwords, OTPs, PINs or remote access to your device. If someone contacts you claiming to be from Tech Error Codes and asks for those, it is not us.
